Perhaps everything terrible is, in its deepest being,
something that needs our love.  Rainer Maria Rilke

ABOUT NANI

My work is informed by a joy in working with people, a belief in the inherent goodness of life, and a deep love of nature. Both laughter and tears are welcomed in my office.

I work with adults on a wide range of issues, with particular focus on:

  • Anxiety

  • Trauma

  • Depression

  • Personal congruence and authenticity

  • Sexuality and Gender Identity

  • Transitions

  • Grief, loss and bereavement

  • End-of-life issues

Being held in a safe container helps us be courageous. I am able to quickly attune to clients' fears and needs, as well as their strengths. This helps settle the nervous system and provides a foundation to explore what wants and needs to be healed.

I listen carefully and ask questions that help clients deepen their self-knowledge.
I teach skills and tools to manage anxiety and depression. I hold up a gentle mirror to help people see themselves in new ways.

Therapy is a creative process. I love working with clients’ concerns and customizing responses to fit their needs. I help people feel safe enough to open up to look at and feel what wants to be healed.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

“A session with Nani is priceless. Her process is dynamic, interactive, and nurturing. I always leave feeling like I received what I was hoping for.” KC

“I went to Nani to get a psychological 'fix' but with Nani's guidance ended up with a set of tools that continue to serve me on a daily basis. It took some time and quite a bit of effort, but it changed my life in a very positive way. Nani is trustworthy, creative and compassionate. I highly recommend her.” NA

“It’s simple. Nani helps me find and stay with my true north.” KG

"On the outside, it all looked fine but I was miserable, living with the constant companions of shame, guilt, and anxiety. When I sat down on Nani’s couch, I was basically daring her to send me on my way, but she saw through the mask. When I finally let her speak, with a few sentences, she pried down the mask just enough to make me think that maybe living some other way was possible. I’ve been a client of Nani’s ever since. I’m a different person today than I was just a few short years ago. Yes, I did the work, but Nani was the guide that made the journey possible.” GV

“Thank you, Nani, for giving me the power to be myself”. SA
